Each meal is posted ahead of time with the pickup date and ordering deadline. You’ll see the available options, whether the meal is offered in portion sizes that feed a certain number of people or priced individually by serving.

A few helpful things to know
before placing your first order.
Homemade Takeout first began in Hawaii, where I spent three years cooking for families in our military community. Now I’m excited to bring Homemade Takeout to families here in Southern Utah.
Is This A New Business?
When you order, you’ll select an available pickup window. Arriving during your selected window helps me have your order ready and keeps curbside pickup running smoothly.
When you arrive, stay cozy in your car. Simply text me and I’ll assemble your meal and bring it out to you!
How Does Pickup Work?
Where Are You Located?
Homemade Takeout is located in the southeast area of St George Utah near The Fields at Little Valley and The Creamery, and operates in a permitted kitchen in my residential home.
Because this is my family’s home, the exact pickup address isn’t shown here, but is provided to customers with their order information. All orders are picked up curbside during the customer’s selected pickup window.
Why Do Some Meals Have Limited Quantities?
HomemadeTakeout is a small home kitchen, and I personally make every meal. I set a quantity for each meal based on how much I can safely prepare while still maintaining the quality you expect. Once that quantity is sold, ordering for that meal will close.
Why Are Meals Pre-order?
Homemade Takeout meals are made specifically for the orders I receive. Each meal I post has its own pre-order deadline a few days before pickup day. This gives me time to finalize quantities, shop, prep, and cook your food fresh for pickup.
Why Are Pickup Windows Limited?
Some meals will have limited slots available for the pickup windows. This is based on how much food I can prepare fresh and have ready at one time. Some meals are cooked in batches, and each batch takes time to prepare. Limiting the number of orders in each window helps make sure your meal is ready when you arrive and served the way its meant to be.
Are All Meals Hot & Ready?
Not always. Some meals are served hot and ready to eat, while others are fully prepared, kept refrigerated, and ready for you to bake at home. Each week’s menu will clearly tell you how the meal will be provided and include any heating or baking instructions, if applicable.
Why Are Some Meals Prepared Cold For Me
To Bake At Home?
Some meals, like my chicken enchiladas and pepperjack mac & cheese, are best when they come hot and fresh from your own oven. Preparing them cold also allows me to make more meals for more families, because as much as I’d love to, I can’t fit 30 pans of enchiladas in my oven at once! You’ll receive simple baking instructions so you can finish the meal at home when you’re ready.
What Meal Sizes Are Available?
Meal sizes will vary depending on what I’m cooking. Some meals may be available in different sizes based on the number of people they serve, while others may be priced individually by serving. Each week’s menu will clearly show the available options so you can choose what works best for your household.
Can I Add A Side Dish Or
A Dessert?
Sometimes! Depending on the week’s menu, optional side dishes and desserts may be available to add to your order. These will be listed along with the featured meal, so you can build the dinner that works best for your family.
Can Someone Else Pick Up My Order?
Absolutely! Someone else is welcome to pick up your meal for you. Just make sure they have the name the order was placed under, know your scheduled pickup window, and the number to text upon arrival. When they arrive, they’ll text me with the name on the order and their vehicle information, and I’ll bring the meal out to them.
What Is a Microenterprise
Home Kitchen?
A Microenterprise Home Kitchen, or MEHK, is a food business operated from a private home kitchen under Utah law. Homemade Takeout is permitted and inspected by our local health department and follows Utah requirements for food safety, sanitation, food handling, temperature control, and kitchen operations.
I also hold a Food Protection Manager certification and have completed the required food-safety training.
This allows me to prepare and sell home-cooked meals from my own kitchen while operating as an approved food business.
No. Homemade Takeout operates as a Utah Microenterprise Home Kitchen, and catering is not permitted under the MEHK program. My meals are offered directly to customers through the regular Homemade Takeout menu and ordering schedule, rather than through private catering orders.
Do You Accept Catering Orders?
Will You Eventually Offer More Than
One Meal Each Week?
That’s the plan! Homemade Takeout will begin with one featured meal each week while I establish my new kitchen routine and get to know my Utah customers. As the business grows, I hope to add additional meal days and bring back special holiday offerings too.
Yes! Homemade Takeout gift cards are available for anyone who wants to give the gift of a night off from cooking. Gift cards can be used toward any available meal and make an easy way to send someone a home-cooked dinner while letting them choose the meal and pickup date that works best for them.
Do You Offer Gift Cards?
Do You Deliver?
No. Homemade Takeout is currently curbside pickup only.
I love when customers share Homemade Takeout with their friends and family. Refer someone new and after they place their first order, you’ll receive a $5 credit toward a future meal as my way of saying thank you!

What Happens If I Can’t Pick Up My Order?
Because every Homemade Takeout meal is prepared specifically for the orders placed that week, your advanced payment covers the ingredients, preparation, and time that goes into making your meal. If you are unable to pick up during your scheduled window, please contact me as soon as possible to see if another pickup time can be arranged.
Orders that are not picked up on the scheduled pickup day, and for which no alternate arrangements have been made, will be considered forfeited and will not be refunded or credited. Unfortunately, I cannot hold unclaimed prepared food indefinitely, or resell a meal that was prepared specifically for your order.
